Location:
This event will be held at Bennett’s Creek Park on April 10, 2010. The cookoff will be open to the public: noon – 5:00pm, cooking from 10:00am – 2:00pm, and judging: 2 – 3:00pm. The winners will be announced: 3:30 – 4:00pm.
Purpose
All proceeds will go to the Bennett’s Creek SERTOMA and to the SERTOMA in Suffolk Clubs to benefit local children with speech and hearing impairments, SERTOMA’s international philanthropy, with additional support going to the Reading Enriches All Children (REACH) Programs in Suffolk.
Event Summary
- “Chili Cook-Off” International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned, red chili cook-off.
- “People’s Choice” chili competition
- Suffolk Service Cup – Chili competition (Fire, Police, and Rescue departments only)
- Cornhole tournament
- Jalapeño Eating Contest
- Live entertainment featuring: More Cowbell!
- Food, beverages (including local breweries), and merchandise vendors
- Children’s area with playground, crafts and face painting.

Tickets
Advanced tickets are only $5 per family ($10 day of the event).
Children 12 & under are free.
